Well for now i've installed a filter on the school machines.

This filter prevents downloads of large files.

but i would prefer the IP deny solution, so if anyone comes up with a solution i would love to hear about it.

Do you wish to ban IP addresses module wide or per download?

My first wish is to be able to exclude a certain IP for the entire Download module.

But if its possible to do it per download - that would be fantastic.

Ok I could knock up a quick hack to exclude a IP address from the whole download module just now, but per Download will take a bit of work.

I am currently working on WF-Downloads version 3 at the moment and this will include what you require, but I am not sure when this will be released. (Its a complete re-write you see)

Im looking forward to the new WF Download module and if it include the Exclusion, then i will use that module in the future.

No news on updates yet i'm afraid. Although there has been a recent fix to allow the module to work on XOOPS 2.2.x
