after registering when you click the submit button an error pops up.

I do not believe the theme you are using is compatible with XOOPS 2.2.3. Do you get the same errors with the Default theme that is included in the 2.2.3 package?

That just happened to me this morning. The templates_c directory was not executable, it was readable and writeable. I made it executable and it suddenly worked.

It was: drw-rw-rw-
Pretty sure it needs to be: drwxrw-rw-

I think the command is: chmod u+x templates_c

I just made mine x for everyone, my system is not production yet.
