Hi all - I have used XOOPS before in the past and found it a great bit of software to use. I am in the process of setting up a community style site for me and some friends. Basically, we are a bunch of DJs and would like to start our own site, and use XOOPS as the base.

Xoops has all the features that I'd require, such as various modules for downloads sections and news topics. I am looking to set up a site where a member can register, but instead of the usual features that XOOPS offers, the member also has their own personal profile page that has it's own calendar, news, and downloads section. Each DJ would need it to sort of promote themselves, and to list any mix sets they have on the internet available for download.
For example, if you clicked on member 'xyz' from the members list, you could visit their profile page which lists information not only from their account, but things like downloads and calendar entries. All of which can be edited from within the members profile page.

Ideally, the downloads, calendars and posts of each member would be listed on the main XOOPS site. So the downloads section would lists downloads from all members, the calendar would list events posted by all the members, and the news section would list all news stories that members have posted to their own page. If you were to go to a members page, eg xyz, you would only see their calendar events, downloads and news stories.

Does this make sense? I hope it does, and would love to hear any comments regarding this idea!

Thanks in advance!!!
