CBB forum, big problem

My icons for adding caegories, deleting categories and posting are no longer available even after deleting and reinstalling the cbb forum module.

this is causing a real problem for me.

can anyone suggest what i can do to fix this.

i just realised this is also the case for the icons at the bottom of the forum (locked etc) so i now know they aren't locked it's just the icon to post something is gone (along with the rest).

I've just looked at the folder structure and realised these are installed as languages so I'm wondering if the problem is it ddoesn't know what language (english) and this is causing the glitch.
