Can´t delete templates_c

I want to erase and reinstall all but I can´t delete a folder called templates_c. It has files named like %%05^052^052EA638%%db%3Anews_item.html.php. How can I delete this folder? My web is hosted in host.sk

I had some modeles that I wanted to delete from the server that had the same kind problem. - It would'nt let me delete them.

I ended up just making a new folder called deleted_stuff and moved them in there.

Then just make a new folder called templates_c and put your blank index in there.

(as long as it doesn't keep making more undeletable files, it should at least move you forward.

Have you tried checking your file system permissions?

To delete the folder you'll need to have 755 and for the files you'll need 644 for the chmod settings. [Linux Server]

For a Windows server, just make sure the folder and files are not set to Read Only.

I gave 777 permission to the folder and files before trying to delete, but the problem persists.

Those files are normally owned by the user under which the web server runs.

If you could provide more information about your server O/S (Windows/Linux), server software (Apache, IIS) and what kind of access you have to the server (web hosting service control panel / shell access / FTP-only), we might be able to help more.

Hi

One solution could be :

1.rename your "templates_c" folder
2.create a brand new one

It?s not elegant but it works
