this is the error i get while trying to install XOOPS on a remote server...

I think you may be installing to the wrong directory... seems to me that the normal install path would be something like

/home/public_html/a...

not

/home/coniglio/public_html/a....

On a shared hosting environment the path would be:

/home/username/public_html/subfolder(if any)

so the path looks like it could be right.

Sorry i don't understand
i used the directory art-factory instead of xoops
so the install is /art-factory/install
what is the error?

What XOOPS version are you installing, and at what point of the install does the error come up.

You may want to attempt to reupload and try again.

It's due to the fact you use PHP 4.0 or 5.1, but doesn't mean anything (a "notice" is not the same as an "error").

Don't take care of it.

A future release will ensure these notices disappear.

thank you skalpa, i am doing all the possible trials because i am trying to move online a XOOPS site that i elaborated on local
i think the problem may just be a different version of php

can you take a look at this post and see if you imagine any solution?
