Hi ,
I installed a plain XOOPS site with no problems... infact very smooth... but now i am a little stuck. I wish to create a list of categories and it does not appear on the menu (only the home link does). Within XOOPS jargon does the term category mean something else then a conventional menu link?

Also i can create content in the form of "blocks" but how do you locate it in a particular category?

Cheers,

Basically what you need is some sort of content module.

If its text/article based - something like: Magazine, WF-Sections, SmartSections, Article, etc - will allow you to create seperate pages - with a front index - for your articles.

If you want a seperate menu below the main XOOPS one ... some of these modules will allow you to create one, otherwise - you may need a menu customisation module like Multimenu - which will allow you to make your own customised menus - and to link directly to pages in the content module.

Hope that helps a little
