Searching function

I would like to know how could I modify the search engine? I would like to search for a particular range of numbers, e.g. prices.

Also want to know how to make a 3rd-party made module searcable on my XOOPS?

You'll need to either hack the current search function (rewrite the code) or find another search module that suits your needs. FreeFind.com provides a powerful site search function... but this will not search the internals of your DB.
