i'm thinking of starting my own "business" as a side job (1 man company :)), and i'm looking for a good portal system for my homepage.

now i'm wondering if i may use XOOPS for that or not.

would be nice if someone could help me out.

HI. Welcome to Xoops!
Yes you can. There are many here who also run companies and provide services based on Xoops.
You can also change or remove the footer "powered by Xoops". What you can't do is remove the XOOPS comments from the code.
Xoops is very powerfull but can be a little overwhelming at the beginning.
If you have questions try searching the FAQ or forum on this site. If you still can't find an answer try asking here on this forum, there are many knowledgable people always around ready to help out.
