On my recent downloads block or recent articles block in Smart section etc I get a title followed by the published date.
However in the Recent News block the published date is before the title.

How can I either change this so the date comes after the Title or stop it showing at all?

Cheers

Hey javelin,

I am running XOOPS 2.2.2 with Smart Section 1.1 and my recent news block looks like this:

10 High Powered Ways To Increase Your Traffic [2005/8/24]

Hmmmm mine is not as can be seen from this section from a screenshot.
The site is concerning child protection hense the rather odd items!

Recent "procedure" updates is really smart section and recent downloads below it are both fine.

The top text colour I can change with the css file in the theme but the layout just doesn't look right?

Any clues how I can fix or remove the dates?

This thing has a lot of blocks and variables.

Which Template is it and what is on your Template?

The recent news block uses the template,

news/templates/blocks/news_block_new.html
I think
this appears to write the following to the templates_c folder,
%%FF^FF2^FF2E54BB%%db%3Anews_block_top.html.php

I think I've found the section of code that checks if you want the list sorted by count or rating or by date but I can't see the section that deals with the way it is to be displayed.

Not very good with code

Hey javelin,

Got to your Templates under Basic Tools in Admin and check the Templates there.

See if this is the one:

items_new.html

<{foreach item=newitems from=$block.newitems}>
  • <{$newitems.linktext}> [<{$newitems.new}>]

  • <{/foreach}>

But that section is for Smart Section,

My issue is with the Recent News block in the News Module v1.4
