Advise Please: Multi BBs -- CBB or something else?

Hi!

I have CBB installed and I'd like to basically have two forum categories with one category showing up on one page and another category on another page and never the twain shall meet (if you get my drift). It would be really handy to just use CBB to manage everything, but it doesn't seem to do it out of the box. I see my choices as trying to hack my way through this approach, or installing CBB twice (possible or not, I don't know), or adding another BB.

Any advise would be appreciated.

You can easily use only one CBB to achieve this.

Use multiMenu to link to your category. In order to "hide" the full forum, edit the Template of the index for CBB, changing the forum title from a Link to simple text.

This way you can give the illusion that all categories are individual forums, without needing different modules.

Lance's idea worked great, but it wasn't quite so simple. I had to make some revisions to some of the programs to get the category ID to carry through so that when I referenced the main forum index that only one of the forums would show.
