Can't login to 2.2.3

I just installed 2.2.3 on my server. Everything appeared to go well until I tried logging in, when I got this:

Any idea what I did wrong?

I did a fresh install and have the same problem too.

I checked the xoops_config table and found auth_method with the conf_value as xoops.

nl2br doesn't come up in a search in the xoops_config table.

nl2br isn't in the install/sql/* files.

nl2br seems to be a php function to insert line breaks for new lines.

The server is Cpanel/WHM running Apache 1.3.33 PHP 4.3.11 & Zend 2.5.7

Any ideas?

The login problem can be fixed by the patch in the news release.

The other problem can be fixed by using the file /class/module.textsanitizer.php from an older release. Some are using the one from 2.2.1 personally I am using the one from 2.2.2.

Judging from the number of post from each of you I would recommend using XOOPS 2.0.13.1. You will be much less fustrated. The new release has many great features but it is not for the novice. Version 2.2.2 does work pretty well.
