Hi. I currently have XOOPS 2.0.13 installed and I wanted to upgrade to 2.2.2, but I'm afraid. If I update, will my modules stop working/be removed. I already have quite a lot done on my site and if the modules or their contents were to be deleted, I would have to redo my site all over again. I would appreciated if someone could advise me on what to do. Thanks in advance.

Backup all your XOOPS files and your database, and you'll be able to rollback should it go off the rails. I find it is always a good idea to run a beta site which is an exact copy of your live production site to test on before making any significant changes.

I upgraded from 2.0.13 to 2.2.2 and everything works fine. I mainly use the AMS module and haven't had a problem with it. I will tell you one thing though. DO NOT turn off your site before the upgrade. I did this and was unable to login to compleate the upgrade. After I restored from backup I upgraded again without turning my site off and had no trouble.
