and i'd like to somehow tell my XOOPS to use the table prefix "xoops" instead of the new one i created when i installed XOOPS 2.2 ... my old XOOPS tables are still there, along with some new ones with the new prefix, but it seems to go to the new ones instead of the old ones. where could I change that?

I do stupid things, but i'm not a total loss ... i do know how to get into a file and fix it, once i know what i need to do.

Try changing XOOPS_DB_PREFIX in mainfile.php to your old prefix.

Remember to change the permissions on the file when you reupload it, so that it's not writeable again (chmod 444).

did that already ... and now it gives me a blank page when i go to my home page. when it said the new table prefix, it went to a fresh before-customization home page, with log in. this is just blank.
