My Question is
How can i show 3 or 5 Latest News from each topic in the main page. The ideal thing i want is something that we see in xoops.org. (Topic name with image) I just want to show Topic Name and below it, lates news headings.

"Software News" "Hardware News"
News 1 Heading News 1 Heading
News 2 Heading News 2 Heading
News 3 Heading News 3 Heading

I have Six topics so if this can be done in 2 columns & 3 rows. That will be great.

I have seen many threads asking similar thing and most of them got a short reply "slightly modifed version of spotlight module" But never ever told what that slight modification is. I just thought may be this can be done by modifying "latest news block".

Anything more or less that can show news like this ???

Either i dont know how it works aor may be i am doing somethign stupid.

I did tried spotlight 2.2 but was never abale to get what i was trying to. Is this different from that one ???

With spotlight 2.2 it also shows the detail of news but i just want to have its heading. and also i was not able to show news in two columns.

I am truing Spotlight v .5 but i cant sem to get what i want.

Ok one more thing. WIth default Latest Nest bloack, I see this
