Hi, I'm gettin this error:

XOOPS Site site security has detected that your computer has a firewall setting that is preventing you from registering on the site. We use 'Referrer-checking' know as HTTP_REFERER which makes sure that all contents posted are from authorised users only. Your firewall settings are blocking this information, so this will prevent you from registering properly if you try and proceed.

I've tried closing spyware programs, Norton, and turning off windows firewall(all at the same time), with no luck. I believe it could possibly be related to the fact that for some reason my base URL is automatically changing. I log into http://blah.com/arg/html/ and it will automatically change to http://blah.com/~blah//arg/html as I navigate. If this is not a XOOPS thing, I assume it's my hosting provider. It's not a behavior I would be capable of changing.

Could this be the problem? If so, is there a way to change my base url adding the additional /~blah/ ?

You might install my browser check script under your XOOPS directory, and see if its HTTP_REFERER tests pass. That could help isolate the problem.

I fail all the Referrer tests. Also, I fail the header cookie test and the javascript cookie read test the first time, then pass them every time thereafter. Anyway, I don't know how to remedy my problem. I've tried turning off Microsoft anti-spyware, norton anti-virus and windows firewall, but results are the same.

I'm using Firefox and the referring seems to be enabled there. Is this something that my system could even prevent? Seems like it'd be a browser thing. Only other option would be for some spyware thing to be actively blocking this one aspect of the header which seems kinda far fetched.

IE has the same results on the test.

I've updated one site from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 and on the when trying to have a new password created via email, I get the error also. I don't have any firewall, norton, etc. Cookies are allowed.

Prior to the 2.2.2 version, I didn't get this.

I will also add that, not only was this page displayed, but I was emailed a new password. BUT, the database/profile was not updated with it...

Anyone else having this error after upgrading to 2.2.2?

Unfortunately, a small error has persisted in /lostpass.php

On line 66:
if (!$member_handler->insertUser($getuser[0])) {

there should be a second parameter like this:
if (!$member_handler->insertUser($getuser[0], true)) {

I'm still having no luck with it. I always get that error when I try to log in or change any admin settings.
