Xoops 2.2 extended profiles cached user names?

Here is what I do:

Originally entered several reserved names to extended profiles. Later I decided to use one of them, but even if I delete that user name I can not register a user with that name. I tried deleting cache content (only profilefields.tmp was were) I even deleted all templates_c (which has nothing to do with) still can't figure out where it's cached.

I know it is not a database problem, because I already checked it is properly deleted from database and there are no references in it.

I have not enabled any type of cache on my site yet.

Thanks.

You entered several reserved names in the module preferences? If they are still there, you won't be able to register new users with those names

No, I removed them from there, saved profile and then I tried to register from admin side or from user side with the same effect.

Which message do you get when you try to create the user?

Re: Xoops 2.2 extended profiles cached user names?

Sorry for late reply. Went to my buddys cottage on a lake... Too much fun.

The error I'm getting is:
Quote:
ERROR: Name is reserved.

Just to confirm what I have done:
Entered reserved name, later decided to have that name to be in use, removed that name from reserved names list in profiles, and tried to register an account from admin side and user side. Have tried to remove cache content, templates_c content, no cache enabled on entire site for any single module.

If I look in database when reserved name is entered that name is there, if I remove that name there are no tracks of that name in database to it. So everything in database is written correctly but that name is still being reserved somewhere in cache.

Thanks Mithrandir for looking at it. I know it sounds weired but if you want to see my system PM me and I'll make an account for you where you can see for yourself.

P.S. I have made a full X2.2 core Lithuanian translation. I'm still revising translation but I'm sure it can be submitted somewhere as it is...

Re: Xoops 2.2 extended profiles cached user names?

OK, after a bunch of tests I found out myself what the hell was going on. It drove me crazy

If you put something like "te" in user reserved list, then you can not add any user name that starts with "te", therefore no user names like testing, teammate and anything what starts with "te".

I tried to add that ^te and I do not seem to have any difference. What's the purpose of this caret ^ ?

Whats intended behavior of these exceptions in extended profile? To match exactly or to block anything that contains/starts with these chars?

Thanks, Gediminas
