upgrade from 2.0.7.3 to 2.0.13

Hi all,

This isn't a problem that has happened, but I want to avoid problems, so....

Who can tell me if I can get away with the following procedure:

1. Copy all the files from the 2.0.13 full release over top of my 2.0.7.3 installation.

2. Update the System Module in the System Admin->Modules page.

I really don't want to have to apply the four patches that go through each major version between 2.0.7.3 and 2.0.13, I want to do it in one shot. But since there's not a single patch to do this, I'm interested in knowing from someone who's been there what I might be missing in the above procedure.

Actually, I also want to install the multilanguage hack for 2.0.13. What I'd really like to do is more like this:

1. Unzip the 2.0.13 files somewhere.

2. Apply the multilanguage hack to those files.

3. Upload all the files for that multi-langauge ready 2.0.13 over top of the existing 2.0.7.3.

4. Update the System Module.

Would that work? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

In particular, I'm wondering whether I need to worry about all that "edit and save all your blocks" business that happened around 2.0.9?

Thanks,

P.S. One obvious point: don't overwrite the actual mainfile.php that is in use! Are there any other files which the full install would contain but which I would not actually want to update?

I think you should check also modules - for example if you use news or newbb other than the one that come with 2.0.13 ...
