Hi,

I'm new to XOOPS. I downloaded everything (Apache, mysql, PHP, xoops) and installed according to the documentations.

And the earlier config steps were also fine. But when it comes to database configuration, it gives the following message in the browser.

Fatal error: MySQL extension not loaded in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\class\database\mysqldatabase.php on line 71


I have MySQL version 4.1 installed.....
Please help.

MySQL may be installed, but it doesn't seem to be loaded in your PHP configuration. Check your php.ini for the MySQL extension.

Alternatively, you could use the XOOPS StandAlone Server for trying out XOOPS on a local server.

I had stupidly installed php 5 beta. I think that's the problem.
After that I Installed php 4 stable and ran the setup. Now everything is working fine... but at the end of the page a huge stack of php debug info is comming!!
