I'm not sure to look for this one. I assume one can speed up the redirect, and this used to work for me. However, now it never redirects. Haven't really dug into this one, and I will if nobody has any idea offhand what could flip a switch like that.

BTW, the only thing I can think off (other than theme CSS stuff) is that I've enabled stats which required a change to the header.php.

I think I found the answer. It was Firefox and restarting the browser took care of the issue.
