That is the error message i get the second half is obviously a different issue which ill sort later...

but that first error is stopping me from posting news i just go to a blank page and it claims to be done... go back no news so is set it to PHP debug and this comes up.... here is the offending line:

any bright ideas?

What version of XOOPS? And what exact version of news?

If you are using 2.1.0 of XOOPS that is a beta version of 2.2.1, which contains bugs. The latest news release that fixes some problems with XOOPS version 2.2.1 is news 1.3.1.2.
