Hi Samuels. What is the XOOPS Editor Framework? What does it do and how do I use it?

Editor framework provides users simple way to use several editors on their forms (You can see an example with newbb2 "Select your desired form type").

Now I'm doing parallel work, updating Koivi and triyng to help with the editor framework.

In next XOOPS versions, the editor framework will be totally implemented and you wont need to hack any file to use koivi or other wysiwyg editor.

By now, editor framework is only for testing purpouses, I think there are some form example and you can see how to implement it.

Born again HTMLArea?

Actually, no. It appears development of the original HTMLArea is being continued here:

If you mean HTMLArea, it worked fine for me today. HTMLArea 3.0-rc1.zip.

Link is in the top right of the Dynarch.com homepage underneath the 'demos' link. If you have problems, PM me your email address and I'll send it to you (205 Kb).

I'm not sure if older versions of cbb support the editor framework.
You can ask in cbb forum here
