I have tried to install XOOPS on a Windows XP machine with MySql server running. If I want to create a new site, at the end of the installation I get the message: Cannot connect to the database server. It´s obviously that I am doing something wrong here. The problem is that I am not to familiar with XOOPS and MySql yet. Can someone please help me solve this? I can connect to the database from a remote computer using DBmanager...

you have to create your db first
www.yoursite.com/cpanel.

I have created the database first but I still get the message: Could not connect to the database server.
