A friend has asked me to help them redesign there site, is there any modules people know of, to be able to have a directory with individual calendars for each listing?
This is what they asked:

Quote:
I would like to have a system, whereby church leaders can log in and alter their listing

I would like them to be able to fill in calendar dates with services, etc

I would also like to be able to change listings myself until church leaders, take over their own listings.

Is it possible to achieve this with Xoops?

If I used Pical, wouldn`t I have to use duplicates for each listing though?

As what the person wants, is that each church has a calendar seperatly.

Not that there is one calendar with all dates on, as each church is individual.

Please explain how I could do this? or if it is possible at present?

As I would think you would need a directory module, with each link being able to edit its own calendar?

Still stuck on this!
How can I make it that each listing within a directory, has its own time table/calendar.

This would be such a good module if someone could make it!?

If you think about it buisness, churchs, schools and so many other people would use a module like this!

The person I am making it for had a look around other CMS`s, yet non seem to have this!!

Can anyone help??

As if we had a module like this for xoops, imagine how many companies would use XOOPS to display timetables, ect!

Our church uses piCal, and I think it will fit your needs...

Using the categories and category permissions, you can customize what each group of users sees on their calendars. Also, when you submit a new event for the calendar, you can select multiple categories, and whether the event is public, or private (yourself, or a user group).

With a careful use of categories, you can even use it to track resources (rooms, audio/visual equipment).

If you really want separate calendars, there are instructions for installing multiple copies of piCal on your site.
