an install prob. about module

now the problem is :

when I first install the xoops, only the module System admin is active.
I want to add the module Popnupblog, the message that
'Unable to install popnupblog. Error(s):Module popnupblog already exists.' came.

click the icon of the module , words that
'not writable=> D:/Apache2/htdocs/html/uploads/thumbs/'
can be seen.

what's wrong with it? please help me

Did you have this module installed before? Also installed and active are two different things. A module can be installed, but inactive. Is this the case?

yes , just the case.
I have installed it before and then uninstalled it for it can't use.
the message came when the twice i install it .

I can understand your english well enough. Just trying to understand the question. As far as the error:

it is complaining that the directory thumbs is not writable. I beleive from this error that this is a windows install, so just right click on the folder, choose properties, and clear the read only check mark.

Well from this error, you still have reference of the module in the database. Did you deactivate and uninstall from the modules administration page, or just delete the files?

i deleted the db and the install files

and try to install it again

the problem still exits.

I had deleted all the files and the database

now install XOOPS from the beginning
all goes well

the moment I install the popnupblog
error:
Unable to install popnupblog. Error(s):
Module popnupblog already exists.


why did i get this message?

how can i install the module correctly?
