Prevent unauthorized users from accessing subdir of module

Hello,

I created a module to show documents which are store in a subdir of that module and should only be accessible when you have access to that module. But when you know the direct url to those documents , you can see them anyway. This should not be possible. How can I prevent this.

Well, first off I am not a coder, but you may be able to achieve what you want with .htaccess in the directory in question. Another method you may want to look at is in these hacked versions of download modules to keep direct linking at bay:

Fractal DoNotShareMyDownloads для XOOPS My-Downloads

And

Fractal DoNotShareMyDownloads для XOOPS WF-Downloads
