Is there an easy way to make the Main Menu Horizontal instead of vertical? Also, can it be at the top of the screen?

It looks like those themes have hard coded menus since they still have the vertical Main Menu and it has different menu items. I'm going to need the Main Menu to be dynamic as I will have different menu items for each group, so I really need the Main menu to be dynamic and horizontal instead of hard-coding some links into the theme.

I know how I could do this but I don't know if there is an "easy" or "right" way to do this.

I am not sure how to get MultiMenu to show menus horizontally instead of vertically. Also, how would I get them to appear at the top of the page instead of the center or side?

Ok, it looks like the best idea for the menus is to just create a theme and add a menu to it. Then add some logic in my module to configure the theme before it is displayed. This allows me to put the menu anywhere.

I know this is almost half a year after that I am asking this to you. But I may try: How have you ever get the horizontal main menu to work?

You might wanna check out MyXoops Themes which offer a dynamic horizontal menu with dynamic sublinks in Flash. These themes are currently only available with a MyXoops Club subscription, but MyXoops will be offering freeware themes soon.

I'd definately check out the great work at www.myxoops.com - but also Multimenu 1.7 can support horizontal menus, which can be changed fairly easily as well...

Smarty variables work in a pinch too. For instance, you can create three menues and use smarty <{if}> statements to define who sees what. Perfect? No. But it works really well.
