Running Xoops From My PC?

I run a small XOOPS site and would like the ability to test things on my home pc before uploading them to the main site.

Is it possible to run XOOPS from my pc with everything working?

Any info on what i need to do this would be great.

Hmm tried that before but all i ever get is page not found errors.

Any tips?

TBH - I can't get this working myself.. but I have used XAMPP (www.apachefriends.org) and installing XOOPS locally... this works, but the database seems to be in an odd format ... its fine for doing local tests however.

I tried xsas, yet I found you could only use their XOOPS 2 with out messing about loads to change it.

So I now use WMServer Tools 3.3, its an wamp
Windows, apache, mysql, and php

I found this far easier

Just edit the mainfile.php, to the localhost name and that is about it.

Plus to do a full test of XOOPS 2.2, all i had to do is copy and paste, add a 2 at the end of everything and that is it! more or less!
