Well I would re upload the themes, get the site working again, make sure each directory in your site(that you do not want free access to) includes a index.html file redirecting to the frontpage. Make sure you are running the latest XOOPS, as most recent releases were security fixes.

What do you mean by this? It sounds like you're talking about two different things. It almost sounds like you're talking about the path you named for xoops, and jdseymour is talking about the default module that you set from the admin section. Those are two different things.

When you say Quote:
I set it as the page after index.php it basically was being used as the main content page but not the index.
, it sounds like you didn't fully read what jdseymour said. You set the module from the admin|preferences|general section. So far as I know, you can't set the default module as Quote:
the page after index.php
. Which raises the possibility that perhaps you set something somewhere else (path setting, changing a file, etc) that is creating the problems that you are having.

Just a thought...

I've been thinking about your issue, and the more I think about it, the more I wonder if you didn't upload a module into the main XOOPS directory, rather than into the modules directory. In that case, the module index.php would have overwritten the root XOOPS index.php, the admin directory for the module would have overwritten the admin directory that is included with the core files, etc. I am not recommending this, but if it were me, I'd reupload the XOOPS core. But, if you did that and it messed up worse, it would not be my fault (disclaimer notice).

I know you're concerned about being hacked, and about getting your site working. But, for future information, please try make one post rather than three when you ask for help. At one point you had three posts on the front page - one was sufficient, IMHO. Hope you get it working soon.
