Switching from test development site to live working site.

I have set up a site using a private domain until I had the site working properly. Now I wish to switch the development site to the live working site. When I switch the site over to the new domain the home page comes up in the new domain but any other pages are still using the old development donain. How do I change the sites base address so that all pages will use the new domain?

What did you change after uploading the site?

Normally it should suffice to change the information in your rootdirectories file mainfile.php to match the settings and paths of your live domain / sql / ...

Did you hard code the page links or do anything peculiar to the addressing scheme?

Is your top page index.php or index.html? The latter could cause the problem you described.

As Bender stated above change the physical and virtual paths in mainfile.php. If you transferred all files from your test site, clear the template_c and cache folders as they tend to hold on to files with the old paths. Also, all relative links will change over automatically, any hardcoded links will need to be changed manually.
