do 1.3.8 database work on 2.0x?

I have a website which i use XOOPS 1.3.8 on it
if i want 2 upgrade my website what should i do?

Haven't seen a question like this for ages... What to do:
1. Remove _all_ files, make sure to make a backup and write down the necessary information (database login)
2. Upload XOOPS 2.0.x
3. Run install/index.php
4. Fill in the correct database information, make sure you pick the same prefix
5. The install will recognise the XOOPS 1.3.x installation, and will ask to upgrade, confirm.

Voilà, done.

I think that XOOPS really needs to get people to update their XOOPS installations, especially with some of the security flaws that were found.

The 1.3.x series is safe (at least the last version, 1.3.10), so this person should at least upgrade to 1.3.10 to be safe.

But upgrading to 2.0.x should be for functionality, not safety! (Nothing holds you back of course to upgrade in name of security...)
