On a brand new installation, all buttons go to a page except for the "Home" (all pages) and "Home Page" (Admin page) buttons.

They link to an HTML file listing instead. Clicking on "index" in the listing will then proceed to a proper page.

How do I fix this problem?

Do you have an index.html file in your root directory? If so try removing it and see if it works properly. Upon visiting your site it looks like you still have an under construction page there.

Thank you for your reply.

The index files you mentioned reside in the root for the entire site and are active and working: index.htm redirects to index.asp. Index.asp does not show up when I click on the "Home" and "Home Page" buttons in the XOOPS portal, just the html file listing shown at the bottom of this reply.

The XOOPS portal application is going to the predefined portal root (ncnbgsa.org/xportal/) when I click on the "Home" and "Home Page" buttons. The index.php file in the portal root is not executing--not until I click directly on it (then it works fine).

I believe that, within the application, there is a missing or incomplete "Home" and "Home Page" link to the index.php executable in the "ncnbgsa.org/xportal/" directory.

File listing that I get when the "Home" and "Home Page" buttons in the XOOPS portal are clicked:

(ncnbgsa.org - /xportal/
-----------------------------
[To Parent Directory]admin
backend
banners
cache
class
edituser
extras
favicon
footer
header
image
imagemanager
images

index

notifications
pda
pmlite
readpmsg
register
robots
search
templates_c
themes
uploads
user
userinfo
viewpmsg
xmlrpc
xoops
(end of listing)

I hope you can help with this annoying problem.

George

Hi,

This problem happened because your site hosted on windows server with IIS not setup php well.

PHP working on this webserver but you need to ask webhosting company to add index.php as main page at IIS settings.

Problem solved!

Directory indexes needed to be turned on and specific page addresses added to Windows' IIS configuration:
index.htm
index.asp
index.php
default.asp
default.php
home.htm
home.asp
home.php
ncnbgsa/xportal/index.php

... "Home" and "Home Page" buttons work like a charm now.
Thank you much!
