Hi
I'm new to all of this. I'm trying to set up XOOPS on a commercial linux hosted service. The installation went well but all I got was a blank page when I browsed to the site.
I tried all the solutions that I could understand in the FAQ and the one that worked was creating an .htacces file for my root directory.
Now when I log in I see an error message as above. Having browsed the web I understood that this is something that only the host could rectify.
However all their support line have done is to confirm that XOOPS is producing blank pages and that they do not support third-party software.
What can I do? I need this site to support a summer school at a local secondary school and if it is to be of any use I need to get it up by the weekend.
I've had no trouble with XOOPS on my own computer although it did take me some weeks to get to grips with web server, MySQL and php installations and I expected the installation on a professionally run server to go smoothly!
