I would like to upgrade from 2.0.9.3 to 2.0.11. Can someone point me to a post on this or tell me the steps I should take to do this?

Thank you for your time

Re: Upgrading from 2.0.9.3 to 2.0.11

1. Download and extract patch 2.0.9.2->2.0.10
2. Download patch 2.0.10->2.0.11 and extract to the same location
3. Upload the combined patch to your webserver
4. Update the System Module

I have a longer upgrade path ... from 2.0.4 to 2.0.12.

I have downloaded the patch files; do I need to install them sequentially, or will the faster way you indicate work with the wider span of versions?

I apologize for bother you members with this post. But I have just started with XOOPS and have been reading the forums, FAQ's and anything else to help me out with setting up XOOPS for the first time.

So far I am extemely impressed with this CVS! I originally found XOOPS from a multitude of CVS's (phpNuke, Mambo, etc)on "Fantastico". XOOPS by far exceeds them all! I am only in the testing phase and trying it out before launching the website.

My questions is:

I originally downloaded version 2.0.10 from "fantastico". At least that is what shows up at the bottom of footer page (Powered by XOOPS 2.0.10 © 2001-2005 The XOOPS Project). But when you click on "System Admin", then "Modules", the version for "System Admin" says (Version 1).

I then upgraded to version 2.0.12a which again shows up down on the footer page (Powered by XOOPS 2.0.12a © 2001-2005 The XOOPS Project) and under my "Action" for "System Admin" updated it also, so that now it shows "Version 1.01" for the "System Admin".

But shouldn't it be showing "Version 2.0.12a"?

Re: Upgrading Issue?

Fshagan, be aware that (I think) there were some database changes in the early days, so I'd get the 2.0.4-2.0.5 patch and read the instructions (if any) carefully.

Then move on from 2.0.5 to 2.0.7 - after that, you can make one single cummulative patch by combining 2.0.7-2.0.9 and 2.0.9-2.0.10 and 2.0.10-2.0.12a and 2.0.12a-2.0.13.

Since 2.0.13 will be the absolutely last release until 2.2 (unless a security problem surfaces) I think I'll make some additional patches going directly to 2.0.13 from 2.0.10, 2.0.9, 2.0.7 and 2.0.6

Will be when I get the time for it.

@Sleo577, the System Module version is not the XOOPS version. These two things are separate, so nothing is broken
