When are you receiving this message, During install? Or is this message after a successful install?

A little more information would be helpful.

Re: Notice: Use of undefined constant XOOPS_ROOT_PATH - assumed 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH'

Open mainfile.php in a text editor, make sure the entries for physical and virtual paths look in the same format as the following:

Quote:
// XOOPS Physical Path
// Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', 'var/www/html/yourURL.com/yourxoopsfolder');

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.yourURL.com/yourxoopsfolder');

If it does not change it to follow this format.

Re: Notice: Use of undefined constant XOOPS_ROOT_PATH - assumed 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH'

It is complaining that it cannot find the right constant. It sees xoops_root_path, but expects to see 'xoops_root_path' , that is why I asked you to see what was written to mainfile.php.

Re: Notice: Use of undefined constant XOOPS_ROOT_PATH - assumed 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH'

Mainfile.php is in your XOOPS root directory. Download it to your computer and open it in a text editor.

Everything looks fine, just need to make sure that mainfile.php was written to, and written to properly.
