Hi, I just tried Xoops2 2 days ago and I like it.
I wish to convert my webiste which is using E-Xoops 1.05 Rev3 to Xoops2.
There are few databases which are very important to me and I would like to import them into my new Xoops2 site, they are:-
i) All the news submitted to NewBB
ii) All the registered members' details, especially username, passwords and emails
iii) All the discussion at the forum

Can someone tell me how to import all these databases over to Xoops2 ?

Thanks.

Just the other day, I converted an e-xoops site to XOOPS 2 simply by uploading XOOPS2 and running the installer, pointing it to the database of the e-xoops installation. It recognized it as a XOOPS 1.3 and performed an upgrade. Went rather smooth although there were some manual database changes for me to do afterwards.

Unfortunately, I have no clue which version of e-xoops I upgraded from - but it was old.

Hi!

Two years ago I'd started to use E-Xoops 1.05 Rev3. But I decide that the time to upgrade now.

Did you succes in your upgrade? What kind of troubles did you meet?

Thank you for advices.

I had to manually change some table names for some modules and manually add and rename some fields in a couple of module tables, but apart from that, the upgrade went smooth from e-xoops to XOOPS 2.0.10 - just by using the normal installer at /install/index.php.

I'm making no guarantees, though - I have as mentioned absolutely no idea, which version I upgraded from.

Just remember to backup BOTH your site files AND the database.
