whats the best way to embed a flash item?

I want to put a flash movie or game in some of my pages, but I have heard there are a few ways of doing it and some are incompatible with certain browsers or cause other problems. Which is the best way?
I am using wfchannel.

Did you try the usual way?

I've just tried it, it's caused a problem with IE, but firefox works fine (dunno about other browsers)

The swf file appears the right size in ff but in IE its tiny, any idea why?

I?m glad that works for you.
I guess that on your first atempt you forgot to set up the correct width and height, don?t you?

there were 2 sets of width, height settings
firefox worked fine with just the on, IE needed them both changed
