Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of anygood log analyses software for looking through my site logs, I'm looking for something that can maybe detect abuse i.e someone who downloads lots of images/files and consumes bandwidth, and preferably something that is free to download and use.

Currently I download my logs as a tar.gz then change the file inside to .txt extention(looks like a command line file or somthing) and open them in notepad or wordpad but some of the logs are so huge that it just crashes my computer.

Use AWSTATs, it does perl.
Generates good stats

Not so sure about the abuse thing, but there might be a plugin for AWSTATs that might do that.
