Hi all,

On my XOOPS site, a user is unable to post into the forum. He is able to log on, write out a post and even preview it, but when he hits "Submit" the system doesn't add it to the database.

We have tried everything at his end but as he is on a works machine he cannot mess with the firewall (too much!). He is able to post on his home PC and no one else seems to have this problem.

I am stumped, does anyone have a suggestion on what is or isn't happening?

Check cookies, check cache, check browser settings etc.

Does anyone else have the problem? If not, he may just be special!?!?!?

The most stringent authentication happens as information is about to be inserted into the XOOPS database. Troubles from a particular PC usually point to firewall issues. The only thing I can recommend he try is adding your site to his list of trusted sites (Internet Explorer) or in his firewall (if he can)

Thanks for the assist!

It was the firewall causing the issue (bleeding things )

Once the firewall was "switched off" posting to the site was fine, as soon as put back on again, nothing. He played with the settings and all is happy.
