How do I change the min. keyword search

Hello. I am trying to set up a q&a and some of the things that I would need to search for are shorter than the default 5 characters. I looked in search.php but I could not find where it was. I might even be looking in the wrong file. What I am looking to change it to is 3 characters. Could anyone offer some insite?

uggg sorry. I guess that I should have started with the simplest thing.... like search preferences in sys admin
