add this to the style.css file

td#mainmenu a {background-color: #e6e6e6; display: block; margin: 0; padding: 4px;}
td#mainmenu a:hover {background-color: #ffffff;}
td#mainmenu a.menuTop {padding-left: 3px; border-top: 1px solid silver; border-right: 1px solid #666666; border-bottom: 1px solid #666666; border-left: 1px solid silver;}
td#mainmenu a.menuMain {padding-left: 3px; border-right: 1px solid #666666; border-bottom: 1px solid #666666; border-left: 1px solid silver;}
td#mainmenu a.menuSub {padding-left: 9px; border-right: 1px solid #666666; border-bottom: 1px solid #666666; border-left: 1px solid silver;}

td#usermenu a {background-color: #e6e6e6; display: block; margin: 0; padding: 4px; border-right: 1px solid #666666; border-bottom: 1px solid #666666; border-left: 1px solid silver;}
td#usermenu a:hover {background-color: #ffffff;}
td#usermenu a.menuTop {border-top: 1px solid silver;}
td#usermenu a.highlight {background-color: #fcc;}

NOTE: This theme needs a lot of work and I'm not talking about the menu change... But I do like the visual looks of it =)

just cut it from here open the style.css file and paste it anywhere you find an open line on the page it doesn't really matter where.

I just believe the code should be cleaned up and a lot of the attributes should be switched to the .css file.
GO HERE:
W3C Markup Validation
Enter your web address in validate by url

But the end results your site looks great =)

It worked great for me???

are your general settings set to yes for updating theme?
go to:
admin/preferences/general settings

Find:
Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?

And:
set to yes
