Thanks elvir for that comment and yes, register globals is ON. This module now works well in 3 different installations after removing the short URL hack. However, here's a strange thing ... on my production site only it wont register any members on line only users. I even tried a clean install and still it wont register members. So I deleted cookies... still no go. Everyone else gets listed but not me or other members

Sure would like to get that bit working ...

[edit ]

Just cleared templates_c and bingo it sees registered users. Worth knowing so I posted back here

Well, I get listed myself in map but instead in Bosnia each time I'm in Amsterdam -:)

This failure is since nuke 5.x.something ( originally this module was written for this platform ) and still it shows most users and members in Notherlands.
I newer realy find out why but somewhere ( some forum probable ) I found that problem is in geo servers this module is collecting informations from. Still, in nuke 7.x.x it has the same mistake. They didn't change it.

What I do is keep deleting the notherlands all the time 'couse not showing correct info. Other world places are OK.

Have no idea why you don't have members shown on the map but this module version http://www.myxoops.org/x2download/wherebisdu.zip shouldn't have that kind of issue 'couse i'm using it and it works good ( not just Notherlands ).

If you're using the same module then I've no idea what's wrong.

Keep notify if anything changes.

if you look at wbdgeo.inc, you will find that this module use http://www.caida.org services to allocate a city/state to an Ip adresss.

If you visit this site, you can see this warning :

Quote:

NOTE: NetGeo has not been actively maintained for several years, and this will probably not change in the foreseeable future. As a result, there are several known major issues affecting accuracy and service availability. Please be warned that NetGeo may give wildly incorrect results, especially for recently allocated or re-assigned IP addresses.

Also, domain-name lookups are no longer supported.

Anyone knows which online service can replace this database in wherebisdu module ?
