Why does HTML code show in module but not picture?

Hello

I'm new to this and just started a few hours ago.
Fascinating! I love it!
(Even more once I get to understand it better)
I am building my clients new site with it.
One of the first "challenges" I came accross is the when I edit/create a block it offers me to insert a picture by entering the URL. But when I do so it does show the tag and link, but when I check online only the link line appears. (I have it set to HTML, PHP or whatever.

Also, any of the font size color seem to have no effect when entering normal text.

Help! What am I missing here?

Rob,
You'd better start reading up on this system instead of putting it online and just start with it. There's a lot of info about XOOPS available in the XOOPS FAQ.

The Q's you're asking a really starters Q's and can be avoided by reading up or looking into the forum. Little change anyone will answer these kind of Q's.

OK Will check it out. But I'm still puzzled.

2hrs later...
I found out! But why it does it I'm a bit puzzled.
In my understanding if I click on insert image in the Block edit mode, set to HTML, the link it inserts should do the job, isn't that logical?

Not when you consider that the code that was inserted was BBCode, which is not HTML. BBCode is automatically formated by XOOPS.

Note:
BBCode uses tags like this -->> [ ]
HTML uses tags like this -->> < >

Hope this clears things up a little bit.
