Theme modification, no changes

I often edit theme.html file according to my needs. But after I installed XOOPS Protector though I edited the theme.html file from theme/theme_name/theme.html file no changes will take place in the front-end though when I checked the file had been changed...

Can someone help me please! Is this something to do with cache or ....

I need to put some links to menu I created... pleaes help!

enable the preference "update module templates from themes/yourtheme folder" in system admin -> preferences -> general settings

It works. I'm happy that I switched to XOOPS from mambo, XOOPS seems to be much more stable and secured than any other cms.
