My webhost has XOOPS installer via Fantastico on the CPANEL. I attempted the upgrade and from that point forward all I got was a main page... I suspect it is one of the addons that I have or blocks but I'm not sure. They restored for me and I am back to 2.0.7. They suggested that I do a manual install...

What I would like to do is copy my current XOOPS to a new directory and all of the tables to a new database... I'd then like to upload the 2.0.9 version and proceed with the upgrade on this copied version.

What I need is advice on what I should do to get my data into a new database. I'd like to make sure that I have two working copies (1 in "xoops" and 1 in "xoopscopy")and that I am able to login, etc to both prior to attempting the upgrade... Once I do the upgrade I can then always point the index page to the correct XOOPS or for that matter adjust the dns, etc...
