i cant get the members to work
there is the install file in the latest version which installs the flags like the table u told me
but when i try to run it i get this msg

XM-Memberstats Installer
Found - CVS file exist.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1001 bytes) in /home/virtual/site81/fst/var/www/html/srb/modules/xmmemberstats/install/index.php on line 93

thats memberstats2.0c and the previous one installed is 2.0a do i need to install 2.0b before i install 2.0c

Actually you need to uninstall 2.0a and install 2.0c. But I do not believe it is upgradable.

and when i tried to run the install file this is what i get

It would seem that for some reason you are using more memory than the PHP.ini allows for your site.

I have seen this in a site search several times, but see no solution. Other than more memory allocated.

ok so what do i do if i cant fix it

coz for me 2.0a and 2.0c have problems so i dont know what to do
is there another module that does the same thing tells the newest members and how many members i got?

Not sure of any offhand. I have done some Google searching on this matter and all point to the same thing.......increasing the memory allocated in php.ini.

Do you have anything on your site that may consume large amounts of memory. (Doesn't have to be very large as php defaults to just 8MB of allocated memory.) Maybe graphics, or anything. You may try to disable to run the installer.

As an alternative you could attempt to install the sql file through PHPmyadmin.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this.

ok well i posted on XOOPS malaysia maybe they will be able 2 help
i got mp3 files some of them may be over 8mb

but yeh can u help me with the news template
i tried 2 edit it but donno how
i cant see the block_news_new.html
anywhere i see it on my hosting in the templates/blocks folder but its the old template for news 1.something

i cant find the new one and i see it in edit templates under admin panel
and i edit it in dreamweaver and copy the code back into the admin panel thing
and the only link i got there is View which doesnt do anything doesnt update the template

so what do i do i looked throught the forum but noone had this problem before

The proper way to edit templates is through System Admin - Templates. You will have to clone your default template set to edit them. This is a kind of safety feature so that if you mess up the cloned template you still have the original default template set to fall back to.

See this Faq Page on cloneing templates.

omg i dont know why last time i used XOOPS it was so better this one is full fo problems

ok look i try editing it and the only button there is view there is no update template button it doesnt update it when i click view

As I said in the above post you have to clone the template set to edit it. You cannot edit the default template set.

At the right of the default template in the template Admin page click on the clone link. It is right under download.
