XoopsGallery integrated in to News module - Is it possible?

Does anyone know of a news module or a hack of an existing module that would allow me to insert images in to a news post that reside in the gallery's of the xoopsgallery module?

myalbum_p module integrates with imagemanger, but i haven't seen anything for xoopsgallery.

Will myalbum allow me to select from any of the albums and sub-albums to insert in to news or only from a preselected album?
