Hi all,

Just a simple question. From what I've read, XOOPS NewBB is similar to phpbb, and if so, would the mod/hack shown on this page work with newbb? If not, what would a person have to do to make it happen?

I've looked at the files, and I can say from my laymans opinion that it appears possible to integrate. It requires a change in a couple of core files to have the tags included in the bbcode.

This would affect your ability to upgrade your version of xoops, since you'd need to redo this change everytime you do upgrade. Modifying core files is always touchy. Especially when you start adding three or four different hacks.
