How can I remove some of the fields in userinfo.php or in edituser.php? I don't care for fields like AIM or ICQ. I know this has been an issue with somepeople who wanted to add new fields and it looks like there is a hack or two to add fields. I haven't found anything on removing them though. Do you have to manually delete them from the database? How do you do that? Can smb help plz?

You can just comment out the code that makes those fields visible on the website and just leave the DB alone. Nobody will know it's there but you.

try this for instance:
modules>>system>>templates>>system_userinfo.html

finally you must reload the database as admin via http
