As far as i Know, GD2 should be installed with PHP, but I am gettin always this error

"PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick or Netpbm is installed"

I have installed PHP, Apache and MySql, by means of IBServer(local machine, win2000). Hence, i have just clicked on next within the installation and no "special" configurations have been done.So, how can I configure thumbnail in my PHP server.
